Maintenance & Care
For the Property
Getting ready for service
Repair dripping faucets and showerheads; tubs cannot be resurfaced with drips or leaks.
Replace loose or missing tiles that come in contact with the area to be reglazed.
Remove sliding doors from tub. If splash guards are to be removed, it must be done before our arrival.
The room we are refinishing must be clear of all personal items, trash, debris, appliances, and all other removable pieces.
Water must be accessible; it is needed for the cleaning process.
Electrical supply must be available.
The unit must be kept at a temperature of at least 50F degrees.
All pets must be put away in a back bedroom or taken out of the apartment prior to our arrival.
We recommend that pregnant women, people with respiratory problems or other serious medical conditions, stay out of the unit for a period of 24 hours.
Do not schedule any other vendors or contractors to be in the unit on our day of service. This creates conflict with respiratory safety and airborne dust and dirt.
The refinishing process will leave a heavy chemical smell in the area of application which will dissipate after 4 to 8 hours. Do not open bathroom doors, windows or run fans in an attempt to “air out” the area or speed up the curing time.
If the unit is occupied, the residents cannot be home while we work. We recommend they return 2-4 hours after the work is completed. Central Wholesalers does not provide, or pay for, hotel accommodations.
For the Tenant
Maintaining your refinished surfaces
After the surface is refinished, it requires at least 24 hours before it can be put back to light usage. We will leave a door hanger with detailed instructions and exact date the surface can be put back to use. To prevent damage, do not touch or place items on the refinished surface until the date indicated.
The full curing time for all of our products is 10 days. While it fully cures, the surface can be used. However, refrain from using any cleaning agents on the surface besides soap and water.
While curing, fine lint, hair, and other airborne particles may settle upon the refinished surface. Do not attempt to remove these particles. They will “wear off” during normal use.
After the curing is complete, we recommend only the use of cleaners that are safe for use on fiberglass and acrylic surfaces. Be sure to thoroughly rinse the surface o after cleaning.
Do not use bathmats or any other non-slip additions, as they will both harm the finish and void the warranty.
Do not use ScotchBrite® or other abrasive scrubbing pads on the refinished surface. A soft sponge or towel may be used to assist with cleaning.
Do not clean with anything that contains bleach or acid. These products include but are not limited to Ajax, LimeAway, X-14, and Fantastic. Also, any drain clearing liquid must not come in contact with the tub.
Avoid dropping sharp or heavy objects on the finish, as this may cause it to chip. If this happens, contact us immediately to prevent further damage
